The Dark Knight – A TSF Review
Earlier this month I wanted to see Ironman so badly that one weekday night when all of my friends were out of town, I decided to go alone. It was the best superhero movie I’d ever seen … Until now.
The Dark Knight not only surpassed expectations, it raised the bar for all action/adventure and superhero movies soon to come. It ’s run time sits around 2 hours 30 minutes, but there wasn’t a moment during this movie that I became restless or checked my watch. Every passing minute was entertainment at its highest value and Heath Ledger’s interpretation of The Joker was a major contributor.
One of the best scenes in cinematic
history depicts The Joker walking out of a hospital with the sheer look of madness on his face while he murmurs to himself with blatant disregard for human life. The movie tugs at your heartstrings and doesn’t let go as Batman’s moral compass is compromised. The minute I stepped out of this movie I began to plan when I would go see it again.
5/5 Stars. This movie would sneak into my Top 20 Movies of All Time list.
