U GUYZ ROCK

Asking your readers to write in a little something about why they like a blog is a lot to ask … and I am being sincere. I read a few blogs but I would never take the time out of my day to write them an email. That’s where these people come in. The average post on this blog doesn’t get a lot of comments, but I know that there are a lot of readers. So I asked a few to write in and tell me why they read TSF or if they’ve learned anything over the past year, and here are a few responses:
“Where to begin? I found TSF last summer when a friend sent me the link to the Top 10 Chick Repellent Items of 2008. I had no idea at the time that TSF was just a baby one-month-old blog! It showed wisdom and humor beyond its age. I have enjoyed it immensely ever since; from movie reviews (that I don’t always agree with - Star Trek was 10/10), opinions on TV shows (Gossip Girl IS amazing), songs for your IPod (I’ve downloaded a ton of TSF suggestions) and other various little tid bits of pop culture fun.
What have I enjoyed the most? TSF introduced me to Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga. But they are on the radio constantly now so I would have found them on my own. I’d have to say that the discovery of singer/songwriter Brett Dennen has been the single greatest thing to come out of all hours I have spent enjoying this blog. TSF suggested I listen to Brett Dennen’s “Ain’t No Reason” with the warning that after one listen it would be on constant rotation on my ipod. I took that a step further by downloading all of Brett Dennen’s CDs and listening to them frequently. “Ain’t no Reason” is still my favorite of his songs.
Happy One Year Anniversary TSF! Keep up the good work. You are SO FETCH.”

“All I know is that if it wasn’t for TSF, I would be a lot more productive at work, but it would be a lot more miserable.”
- Jonathan D., Gadsden, AL
“I read TSF because about 80% of the time, it’s opinions on music are the exact opposite of mine. It’s always good to have differing opinions, even if those opinions are wrong. Hazaaa!”
- Nicholas D., Long Island, NY
“Don’t know how i ended up on your site BUT, top 10 Awesomely Cheesy Movies made me a fan. All the films were from my time (the deep ass 90’s), tip top commenting/ being a asshole on a few. Thats probably why your a good guy keep it up!”

“Thanks so much for helping me waste time learning popular culture in between classes at University. I would say that I am most grateful for being introduced to the band Elizabeth and the Catapult. I’m still learning to love the Arctic Monkeys :p”
- Jessica S., Ohio
“As a soon-to-be 63 year old geezer, I have found TSF to be a wonderful vehicle for enabling me to keep in touch with Y-gen culture. (I think the site site would be a must read for any Sugar Daddy or Cougar who wishes to impress their youthful target du jour.)
I think your knowledge of and appreciation for the music of the Boomer generation is laudable.
Your takes are consistently original and spot on.
And your top ten list from Air Mall mag remains a classic.”
