TINA FEY MISTAKES ROBERT PATTINSON FOR SATAN

Tuesday night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, TSF’s favorite funny chick was looking hot as usual. It’s a shame that Jimmy Fallon had to be involved, because we would have preferred to just see Tina Fey interview herself. Everything she says is funny. No, really.
Robert Pattinson (right) is one of the most famous people on earth right now and you might not even know who he is. He plays the part of Edward Cullen in Twilight and what Megan Fox is to 35-year-old married men, Robert Pattinson is to 14-year-old girls.
In the interview, Tina and Jimmy are looking at a picture from the Oscars, and Tina notices Pattinson sitting in her vicinity, but is unsure as to who he is – at which point she asks, “Is that the devil?”
Three reasons to watch the interview: Tina Fey is smokin’ hot, Tina Fey is hilarious, and to see Jimmy Fallon laugh like a school girl at everything she says, including clapping when the audience claps – which is something he needs to stop doing immediately.
In case you missed it, TSF live blogged the entire first episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
ELAINE BENES IS STILL HOT

Julia Louis-Dreyfus a.k.a. Elaine Benes is still one of the hottest women in America. Elaine became hotter and hotter as she aged in Seinfeld, and life imitates art this month as Julia is featured on the cover of Shape magazine at the young age of 48. Damn…
One of the best Seinfeld episodes of all time was the episode where Kramer, Jerry, and George all fall in love with Elaine after she leaves dirty comments on Jerry’s tape recorder. But let’s get serious, Kramer, George, and Jerry were all wanting to bone her during the show’s 10-year run – both on and offscreen.
TSF has determined that Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the most attractive woman in America, given the following criteria, in order of importance: Sense of Humor, Hotness, Age. Although it’s a pretty damn close race between her and Tina Fey.
WHO’S HOTTER?

WEEKLY POP CULTURE UPDATE (12.01.08)
TINA’S SCAR TRUTH

Top 1 sign that you might be gay:
1. You care that the Tina Fey picture shown doesn’t show her scar.
We all know what it looks like, so I felt no reason to show it. When I first saw it on SNL, I thought it was like an “invisible” microphone or something – one of those with the clear casing. It took me a few weeks to realize it was a scar.
The truth has come out about the scar via Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond. It was the result of a brutal slashing. The details of this story are a bore-fest, but we love any excuse to talk about Tina Fey.
“It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen.”
She claims that she doesn’t like to discuss the incident because “it’s impossible to talk about it without somehow seemingly exploiting it and glorifying it.”
One thing is for sure: she’s the hottest chick with a huge scar on her face. TSF can’t decide if she’s hotter than she is funny or funnier than she is hot. Decisions decisions…
REAFFIRMATION: KATY PERRY CAN’T SING
TSF is a flip-flopper. First, we love Katy Perry, then we don’t. While “Ur So Gay” is a hilarious song and Katy sounds great behind the doors of a professional studio with a great producer, get her on stage and all credibility goes out the window. If you don’t have an ear for music, we will fill you in: this is about as bad as it gets. This is Katy Perry performing her latest hit “Hot ‘N Cold” on YouTube Live.
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS

One word can be used to describe this World War II story of the friendship between a Jewish boy and the son of a Nazi soldier: Emotion. Calling this film “moving” would be doing it a disservice. It stars two unknown child actors who play their characters to perfection. It took me a while to get past the fact that Nazi soldiers have British accents and are speaking English throughout the entire movie, but it was filled to the brim with great dialogue (English or not) and characters whom the writer did a great job ensuring you walk out of the theater falling in love with their personas. The film highlights the innocence of a child by using one of the worst regimes in world history as the backdrop. TSF highly recommended. In theaters now 8.5/10
HE’S SMARTER THAN US
This dude named Axel Peemoeller from (I assume?) Germany designed a car park with very interesting paint designs. I’ll let him explain:
“In Melbourne, I developed a way-finding-system for the Eureka Tower Carpark while working for Emery Studio. The distorted letters on the wall can be read perfectly when standing at the right position. This project won several international design awards.”
Upon first glance, I thought these were Photoshopped – but they are definitely real. I can’t imagine the time and patience required to design something like this. I sure as hell know I don’t have it. We applaud you.

This video is an embarrassment to the human race. This is worse than anything SkyMall has ever invented. I’ll go out on a limb and say that this is the single worst invention in American History.

WEEKLY POP CULTURE UPDATE (10.07.08)
NEW MUSIC

Remixes of Katy Perry’s summer of 2008 anthem, “I Kissed A Girl“, were released today on iTunes. This song is no doubt overplayed and overplayed … and then overplayed some more – but I must admit that it’s really hard not to appreciate it. As far as pop production is concerned – it’s perfect. It sounds amazing. I downloaded the Rock remix – it’s pretty good.
Evidently Oasis is still making records – who knew? If those two assholes could actually get a long, the musical landscape would have been much more promising over the last 10 years. What’s The Story, Morning Glory? has got to be one of the most impressive albums of this generation. If anyone has heard their new album, Dig Out Your Soul, send me an email if it’s worth listening to.

Tom Morello (a.k.a. The Nightwatchman) released his second “alter-ego” solo album last week. I will be the first to tell you that I am a huge Morello fan. The work he did on 4 albums for Rage Against the Machine easily puts him in the top 5 guitarists of all time – and the Audioslave albums were pretty damn good as well. Just listen to the 30 minute clips of his solo album, The Fabled City, and tell me he’s not one of the worst singers to ever put out a major label record. Am I going overboard on this? He sounds terrible.
MOVIES OF THE WEEK
Appaloosa
Really really great Western crafted by the genius Ed Harris (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind) in which he directed, wrote, starred, and did the screenplay for. It’s a great character piece with a stellar cast consisting of Viggo Mortensen, Rene Zelwegger, and Jeremy Irons – who were all outstanding. Mortensen and Harris’s onscreen chemistry was impeccable and it’s great to see a western played out so impressively. It wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s a movie that moves quickly and has great character development. Highly recommended. [IMDB link]
The Machinist
Released in 2004, The Machinist stars a 110-pound Christian Bale who has completely emaciated himself for the role of a disconnected insomniac who hasn’t slept in over a year. This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in the last 5 years. Christian Bale paired with the imagery and unbelievable cinematography make this a must see. The next movie you rent should be The Machinist.

A remix of Jay-Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” mixed with Weezer’s “Surf Wax America” … some call it blasphemy, I call it badass.

Who else but the beautiful Tina Fey? I do have a crush on Tina Fey and I have noted this many many times before. She reprises her now famous impersonation as Sarah Palin. Laugh out loud funny…

HEY, THAT’S COOL
A new company called “ChaCha” has a very interesting business model. The company answers any question you have pertaining to basically any subject – via text messaging. You text them a question like “What’s the capital of Delaware?” and they answer back with a short, concise answer, “Dover”. It’s a combination of computer and actual people helping to seek out the answer for you. So it’s basically like having a “phone a friend” available at all times. It is a free service and standard text messaging rates apply. [CNN link]
Text your question to: ChaCha (242242).
I decided to give this service a try. You can take screen shots on an iPhone, so I took a screen shot of the text messaging exchange. They say that you get a response “within a few minutes”. I received a “welcome to ChaCha” email about 3-4 minutes after the question and the actual answer about 7 minutes after the question. Pretty pretttty cool. (click for larger)
INTERNET SLANG OF THE WEEK
“NSFW”
This is embarrassing given that I blog daily, but the term “NSFW” is used to describe internet content (a link, picture, email, etc) that is “Not Suitable For Work“. For example, if you email a friend a picture of a hot chick’s boobs or something, you’d put in the subject “NSFW: Hot Chick” or something to that effect. I am a fan of this slang term and it should be used more often. Hopefully most of my readers would know that my website is usually NSFW.
MOVIE OF THE WEEK
BABY MAMA
OK hear me out. As you already know, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hilarious. That’s no secret. Well, this movie does not disappoint. It’s the story of TIna Fey’s character being a 37-year-old businesswoman too busy to find a husband so she decides to pay $100 grand for a surrogate (Poehler). Poehler’s character, some would call eccentric, I call white trash – decides to move in with Tina Fey. Hilarity ensues. Extremely funny.
Why Chicks Would Like It: It’s “so cute!”. It has a lot of chick humor and a lot of maternity instinct type shit. Girls dig that kind of stuff, right? It also has a love interest situation between Greg Kinnear and Tina Fey.
Why Dudes Would Like It: Tina Fey is very very attractive in this movie and in a couple scenes she’s really hot. Some great eye candy – which is nice. Plus, Steve Martin is in it so if your roommate catches you watching it you can just be like “dude, Steve Martin…” It really is funny, guy or girl, doesn’t matter. Tina Fey kicks ass, no lie.
