SHE’LL NEVER LIVE THIS DOWN

I really cannot figure out what she meant to say. It’s audible and she makes no attempt to correct herself.

TSF IS BACK

B@F

There are a few drawbacks to running a website by yourself.  Although going solo is much cheaper than the alternative, having to write, update, troubleshoot, and be the IT guy all at the same time can certainly make you age faster than you’d like.

Long story short, I had to change hosts because my old host couldn’t handle the amount of bandwith my site was requiring.  Your favorite blog is now on a virtual dedicated server and is faster and better than before.  Oh, and never use HostMonster to host your website - a bunch of assholes over there.

Regardless, TSF is back

Are You *That* Guy?

People laugh at you, not with you. You’re that guy. I personally think that Dane Cook is the prototypical that guy. I can’t stand him. He is the antithesis of all the great comedians of all time. Remember that guy at your high school and college parties who came in wearing the visor, claimed “there’s a lot of chicks here,” and was entirely overly boisterous? Dane Cook is that guy.

Anyways, here’s the link: http://men.style.com/details/quizzes/thatguy/thatguy/

Best Of The List:

“You have an elaborate bedtime ritual on planes-with neck pillow, sleep mask, and noise-canceling headphones. “

“You say “We’re pregnant.”

“You refer to a trip to the gym as a “legs day.”

“You include the names of your kids and pets in your home outgoing message.”

Top 5 Non-Guitarist Lead Singers Of All Time

Lead singers get the chicks. But you can’t get chicks sitting behind a drum set, can you? Don Henley and Phil Collins debunk this theory. As far as bass is concerned, the average person can’t discern a bass from a guitar, so don’t worry, your 4 strings can still get you the opportunity for fornication. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. But enough about Julia Roberts…

This was a hard list to do. Please comment who you would add/remove to my list …

It has to be a band (not solo artist) and they have to play any instrument other than guitar the majority of the time (on the records and in concert).

And yes, I do know that McCartney and Henley don’t sing every song. But the list feels empty without them.

READ THIS FIRST: Lead singers who DO NOT play an instrument DO NOT count. (Robert Plant, Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, etc.)

THE TOP 5 NON-GUITARIST
LEAD SINGERS OF ALL TIME

1. Paul McCartney
(The Beatles) - Bass
Not the full time lead singer for The Beatles, but still sang some of the best and most famous songs of all time.

Best Paul McCartney Beatles Songs:
Blackbird
Hey Jude
Rocky Raccoon
Lady Madonna
When I’m Sixty-Four

2. Don Henley
(The Eagles) - Drums

Arguably the best singer for The Eagles. And also the biggest asshole (so they say).
Best Don Henley Songs:
Life In The Fast Lane
Hotel California
The Last Resort

3. Phil Collins
(Genesis) - Drums

The godfather of 80s pop. He took Genesis to the level that Peter Gabriel couldn’t. He was amazing in Genesis and just as good as a solo artist.

His best Genesis songs:
That’s All
Throwing It All Away
Invisible Touch
In Too Deep

4. Donald Fagen
(Steely Dan) - Piano/Keyboard

Great lead singer for jazz/rock/experimental fusion band, Steely Dan.
Best Donald Fagen Songs:
Do It Again
Reelin’ In The Years
Rikki Don’t Lose That Number
Barrytown

5. Ben Folds
(Ben Folds Five) - Piano

Charismatic front man of the 3 man group, Ben Folds Five. He was the first in the “Piano Rock” movement and has had many imitators. He took pride in not having guitar in any Ben Folds Five songs until a B sides record containing the song “Emaline” was released.

Best Ben Folds Five songs:
Video
Army
Fair
Kate
The Battle of Who Could Care Less
